Ave is also a freelance graphic designer and a skilled photographer. Ave, Uffe and Rune Hjarnø Rasmussen worked together on the 2020 Nordic Animism Calendar.

Ave has studied leatherwork at Art School of Tartu, and Visual Communications at Chicago Art Institute and The Danish Design School. She loves to work with mixed medias, such as graphic illustrations, photography and patterns.

Among other projects, she works on a hand-painted skateboard collection with Nordic folklore patterns in her spare time.
